Santa Clara, Calif. – August 10, 2009 – Following an RFP process, Bexar Metropolitan Water District, Selects CIPAce™, CIPPlanner's Enterprise Capital Program Management (CPM) Solution
Bexar Metropolitan Water District (BexarMet) in San Antonio, TX has selected CIPAce™, CIPPlanner Corporation's Enterprise Capital Program Management (CPM) solution to manage its Capital Improvement Program needs. BexarMet currently serves approximately 90,000 connections in Atascosa, Bexar, Comal and Medina counties. BexarMet is unique among water utilities in that the District is comprised of (21) water systems some not interconnected with each other.
"As part of BexarMet's on-going effort to improve services and reduce operating costs, the staff examined the implementation of Capital Program Management software to improve planning and management of its capital projects and contracts" said Brad Regnier, Senior CIP Planner. BexarMet is implementing CIPAce™ which will enable the District to develop a long range Capital Improvement Plan and to provide information to project managers and District management throughout the planning and implementation of the projects.
CIPPlanner's Platform solution will include integration of CIPAce™ with the District's Macola financial and ESRI GIS systems. CIPPlanner's experience with Capital Program Management and integrating with various financial applications further solidified the District's decision to move forward with the CIPAce™ solution.
