CIPPlanner Corporation is a leading provider of software for planning and managing the Capital Improvement Program for municipalities, other government agencies, non-for-profit organizations and other business entities. The company is currently recruiting for a Sales and Support Intern for its NorthernCalifornia headquarter.

The Sales and Support Intern (SSI) position is an excellent opportunity for the student intern or co-op candidates to become involved with a rapidly growing and successful software company. Sales and support training will be offered to the intern on an on-going basis.


Primary Duties:

The position may be part time or full time, M-F. Provide general Sales and Support to potential and existing customers. Through telephone efforts, the SSI will assist in setting appointments from an extensive and qualified database. The incumbent must have the desire and drive to set appointments using the telephone. Assist with on-going sales reporting and analysis to management by using existing database. Provide marketing and customer service support. Answer inbound calls regarding sales and product support information. Track status of leads using CRM database.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified candidates must be able to multi-task in a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  2. Be adaptable, flexible, well organized, detail oriented and a team player.
  3. Prior B2B telemarketing with professional phone manner preferred.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to speak and write English articulately and credibly.
  5. Self-motivated and tenacious.
  6. Computer and Internet savvy.

Senior Product Specialist Responsibilities of the position include:

  1. Become an expert user of CIPAce™ and CIPAccess™ provide product support to customers and sales
  2. Participate in formulating product marketing strategy and develop and enhance marketing literature
  3. Assist sales with meeting potential customers
  4. Provide knowledge of the CIP development and management process
  5. Guide Product Development Team to enhance user experience of the application

Qualifications:

  1. Hands-on experience in developing and managing CIP plans for more than one budgeting cycle within a government agency
  2. Be a people person and enjoy working in a small office environment
  3. Knowledgeable with relational database concept
  4. Prior marketing and sales experience highly desirable
  5. Willing to take initiative to achieve business objective
  6. Good analytical, communication and writing skills
