Santa Clara, Calif. - May 19, 2008 - City of Hampton VA, Selects CIPAce™, CIPPlanner's Enterprise Capital Program Management (CPM) Solution
The City of Hampton VA has selected CIPAce™, CIPPlanner Corporation's Enterprise Capital Program Management (CPM) solution in a citywide deployment, focusing on the CIP planning and project selection processes, administered by the City's Budget Office, and the CIP implementation process, primarily managed by the city's Engineering Services staff. This selection was made as a result of a competitive evaluation. CIPAce™ is being deployed as the city's platform solution for CPM, integrating with current 3rd party financial and document management applications.
Within one of the fastest growing regions in the state of Virginia, Hampton has begun implementing a number of area wide master plans involving both new development and redevelopment. The City of Hampton has been looking for a CPM solution that approaches the issue from more than just a project management/construction management point of view in fulfilling its needs.
Currently, the City of Hampton has over a hundred capital improvement projects in programming, design or construction, with more than $94 million in projects approved in the fiscal year 2008/09. With the vision of "Making Hampton the Most Livable City in Virginia", the City is keen in maintaining its current bond rating and balancing the needs of new or enhanced economic development with existing development and capital renewal needs.
