Santa Clara, Calif. - November 28, 2007 - The City of Richmond California Extends CIPAce™ into Engineering and Public Works
The City of Richmond CA has upgraded its CIPAce™ application to version 5.1 and simultaneously extended its utilization into the Engineering and Public Works departments of the city. CIPAce™ has proven to be instrumental in Richmond's recent award by the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers for Capital Budgeting 2006 - 2007. The decision by the city to extend the application beyond the finance organization stems from their recognition that the greatest benefits and value to be realized will come from enabling Capital Program Management (CPM) across all phases of its lifecycle... Strategic Planning, Implementation, and Operations.
Richmond continues to take advantage of the scalability of the CIPAce™ platform solution, rolling it out as required and consistent with its plans for revamping its operations, processes and tools. As part of this upgrade, CIPAce™ will be integrated with MUNIS, the City's new ERP/Financial System. Integrating CIPAce™ with MUNIS will provide Richmond with an integrated CPM capability not previously available.
