The City of Richmond a long standing user of the CIPAce™ enterprise Capital Improvement Program Management software has decided to upgrade for more features and additional Users. The City acquired a basic version of the software in November 2004 for the purpose of replacing its spreadsheet based system. After a year in use, the City decided that the features had been so helpful in its CIP process that they decided to add more features. The added features will provide the city more management control over its CIP process.
The new features will add more control over their Capital Projects by providing Project Document Management, Microsoft Office Project Integration, Fund Management, enhanced Cost Scoping plus other major features. The City also increased the number of users and therefore will involve more personnel in the CIP process.
CIPPlanner will continue to assist the City in migration of its historical data and further integration of other third party applications. It is anticipated that the upgrade will provide the City of Richmond the added tools it needs for improved CIP management control and overview if its projects
